Reports and research
The GLA Civic and Democratic Participation Programme publishes an evaluation report every year and has supported research into barriers to civic and democratic participation and best practices for engagement.
This page will be updated as new evaluations reports are available and research is published.
Almost 25,000 Londoners registered to vote during LVRW 2025. This is a 4% increase, across all age groups, from the week before (when no campaign activity took place), and an increase of 8% among young Londoners.
Launched in 2019, the GLA’s Civic and Democratic Participation programme works with statutory bodies, civil society, and under-represented Londoners to improve voter registration and increase democratic and civic participation.
In 2025–26, the GLA coordinated with borough electoral services, civil society organisations (CSOs), and educational institutions to deliver:
- The seventh London Voter Registration Week (LVRW)
- The second London Democracy Week (LDW)
- Year round participation activity with under-registered and under-represented communities across London
