One of the accepted forms of photo Voter ID is the biometric residence permit (BRP), but important changes are happening.  A BRP is an official document that shows someone’s immigration status in the UK. It is used to confirm your: identity, right to study, right to work, right to any public services or benefits you’re entitled to. However, all BRPs expire on 31 December 2024. From the 1 January 2025, you will need to use the eVisa system to prove your immigration status.
